Job description

Edelweiss Air AG is seeking a Direct Entry Freelance Commander for the A350. As Commander, you lead your crew to ensure every flight is safe and efficient, maintaining the high quality of service. Employment is on a freelance basis. Operator Conversion Courses are planned to start from spring 2026. Responsibilities: - Overall responsibility for safe and efficient flight operations, including crew leadership, punctuality, and economy - Act in accordance with the operational philosophy of Edelweiss - Uphold high quality standards for guests - Foster and challenge crew members and enforce a high standard of performance - Responsible for flight preparation and execution in accordance with legal regulations - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of systems, flight procedures, and operations Requirements: - EASA ATPL license with A350 type rating - Minimum 5,000 total flight hours including long-haul operation experience - Minimum 1,500 hours Commander experience on Airbus A3XX - Valid Class 1 Medical - Very good German language skills (minimum C1 level) and English (B2 / ICAO Level 4) - Swiss citizen or citizen of EU-27/EFTA countries - Strong leadership and teamwork skills
