Job description

Instructor/Check Pilot (IP/CP) for DHC-8 aircraft. Serves as a ground, flight simulator, and aircraft Instructor/Check Pilot to accomplish required training and testing in accordance with 14 CFR Part 135, Operations Specifications, and company training program requirements. Conducts required training and testing for pilot, instructor, and check pilot candidates. Coordinates with the Chief Pilot and Director of Training on DHC-8 operating procedures, training, and testing. Maintains PIC, IP, and CP qualification in the DHC-8 and any special mission capabilities. Available to function as PIC in both revenue and non-revenue flight operations, domestically and internationally. QUALIFICATIONS (Required): - Must be able to obtain a Class I Medical Certificate. - Must possess a thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). - Demonstrated leadership abilities, interpersonal skills and professional demeanor. - Must possess valid Passport. - Ability to acquire and maintain, or currently hold, an active Secret Clearance or higher. QUALIFICATIONS (Preferred): - Airline Transport Certificate; Airplane Multi-engine Land (ATP-AMEL). - Type rated in the DHC-8. - Prior experience as a flight or simulator instructor pilot under 14 CFR 121, 135, or 142, or equivalent military experience. - Prior experience as a flight or simulator check pilot under 14 CFR 121, 135, or 142, or equivalent military experience. - Prior experience in Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations and aerial delivery. - Preferred location within driving distance to San Marcos Regional Airport (KHYI) or Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (KJQF). - Good working knowledge of office suites computer programs.
