Job description
Position: Pilot in Command (Captain) CE-208, Flight Operations department, reporting to Chief Pilot. The Captain is responsible for preflight planning and the operation of the flight in compliance with FAR 135 and the Operations Specifications. Essential Job Functions: - Keeping current and licensed per FAR 135 and Company requirements - Exercising command authority and responsibility - Ensuring proper licensing and required documents for each flight - Approving all flight paperwork, forms, and FAA-required reports - Verifying aircraft maintenance log, proper closure and securing, and presence of flight kit/charts/approach plates - Conducting pre-flight weather checks and securing flight release from Flight Following - Complying with all procedures, limitations, advisories, and NOTAMs per FAR 135 - Operating aircraft within prescribed limits, verifying fuel/oil/oxygen levels and weight & balance - Logging all in-flight discrepancies - Responsible for initiation, continuation, diversion, and termination of flights per FARs and Company policies - Proper use of aircraft checklists at all times Requirements: - All appropriate licenses and flight hours to serve as Captain of CE-208 aircraft - 1,200 hours total flight time - 800 hours Pilot-in-Command - FAA Second Class Medical - Must live within 45 miles of the assigned airport
