First Officer - Dash (NTR)

Job description

Reporting to the Assistant Chief Pilot, the 705 First Officer transports thousands of passengers each year. The pilot's number one priority is to conduct each flight safely, taking into consideration the comfort of each passenger and on-time performance. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct flights with strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, Canadian Aviation Regulations, Aircraft Flight Manual, and the Company Operations Manual - Assist the PIC in the management and operation of the flight, including participation in the execution of all cockpit procedures - Fuel the airplane - Provide a thorough pre-flight/post flight airplane inspection on behalf of the Captain - Carry out take-offs and landings under the authority of the PIC - Focus on flying skills and knowledge improvement with the intention of one day being ready to assume a Captain position - Load, unload and secure cargo and freight as required - Continue to meet and exceed the Transport Canada qualification standards for a Pilot - Perform additional duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: - High school diploma or GED equivalent - Commercial Pilot License (CPL) & Individual Aeroplane Type Rating - Aeroplane (IATRA) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) - 500 hours total flight time - Category 1 Medical - Current Group 1 Instrument Rating - Must be fluent in English with effective verbal and listening comprehension - Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations - Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset Personal Characteristics: - Must be fluent in English - Highly flexible, professional and respectful, with a positive work attitude - Strong commitment to on-time performance - Motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team - Superior time management and multitasking skills - High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability - Customer service-oriented - High level of respect, understanding and regard for First Nations communities

Additional requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
  • CPL holders must also hold IATRA (Individual Aeroplane Type Rating - Aeroplane) unless holding an ATPL
  • Fluent in English with effective verbal and listening comprehension
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
