Kalitta Charters is seeking a Learjet 45 Captain based in Ypsilanti, MI. The Pilot in Command is primarily responsible for the overall conduct and coordination of the flight and assigned personnel, with overall mission safety as the dominant concern. Responsibilities include full control, authority, and responsibility in aircraft operations; safety of crewmembers, cargo, passengers, and aircraft; acting as Ground and In-flight Security Coordinator; supervising and directing all crewmembers; interfacing with medical crew during air ambulance flights; ensuring pre-takeoff contamination checks; ensuring sufficient fuel on board; and accountability for safety and quality compliance with the Safety Management System. Requirements: - High School Diploma or GED (Aviation Related College Degree preferred) - Valid unrestricted driver's license - Valid unrestricted US passport - FAA First Class Medical - FAA Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating - FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit - 2,000+ hours total time - 1,000+ Multi-engine time - PIC Typed in LR-JET/LR-45 preferred - Must pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and DOT/FAA compliant background check Schedule: Two weeks on, two weeks off rotating yearly schedule. Must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays. No remote work or home base option. No relocation package provided.
