Porter Airlines is hiring Direct Entry Captains for the De Havilland Dash 8-400. Opportunities are available based on operational needs at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) and Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW). Qualifications: - Airline Transport Pilot License (Transport Canada) - Minimum 2,500 hours total time - 500 hours Pilot In Command on Q400, or 1,500 hours Pilot In Command on heavy turboprop in excess of 44,000 lbs MGTOW - Preference will be given to those with time on type and with 705 operation experience - Aviation College or University Degree is an asset - Must possess the legal ability to work in Canada, which requires a current, valid Canadian Passport, or a current, valid International Passport with a valid US Crewmember Visa (C-1/D) Pilots that do not meet the minimum requirements may be considered based on experience and other factors. Porter states it will welcome over 1,200 new pilots to its team in the next 4 years, offering rapid seniority progression and the fastest possible upgrade to a narrow-body jet Captain role in Canada.
