Job description

Rotor Wing Pilot - LifeNet of Arizona, based in Willcox, AZ. Operating EC130 (VFR) for air medical transport. Responsible for ensuring aircraft and weather conditions are airworthy to transport medical crew and patient to receiving hospital within an assigned operational area. Responsible for compliance with FAR, AIM, GOM, and Air Methods policies and procedures. Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off (12-hour shifts). Responsibilities: Operate aircraft safely and legally; complete pre-flight checks; serve as final authority for aircraft operations and safety of passengers/cargo/equipment; complete required documentation; conduct detailed flight planning; participate in Air Methods meetings, activities, and community outreach. Minimum Required Flight Times (VFR Program): - 2,000 total flight hours with minimum 1,500 flight hours in category (rotor wing) - 1,000 hours PIC in category - 500 hours rotor wing turbine time - 200 hours cross-country flight time (at least 50 hours at night) - 100 hours unaided night as PIC (50 hours unaided may be substituted by 100 hours NVG time, but cannot be reduced below 50 hours unaided) - 50 hours total actual or hood instrument time in flight and in category (simulator does not count) Requirements: - Commercial certificate with Instrument Rating (for category and class of aircraft); ATP rating meets this requirement - FAA First OR Second Class Medical certificate - Must have flown in category for a commercial operator or in the military within the previous 24 months - Weight not to exceed 250 lbs; must be less than 70 years old - Associate's degree or equivalent; Bachelor's preferred

Additional requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two to five years' related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have flown in category for a commercial operator or in the military within the previous 24 months
• Weight not to exceed 250 pounds
• Subject to DOT/FAA drug and/or alcohol testing
