Job description

Second in Command (SIC) Pilot for the Challenger 300, based out of Hawthorne, CA. This position supports Advanced Air's on-demand charter operations under Part 135. The SIC reports to the Chief Pilot and in his absence the Director of Operations. Responsibilities include performing pre/post flight inspections, assisting the PIC during all phases of flight, assuming primary responsibility for passenger/crew/cargo safety if PIC becomes incapacitated, managing customer service items, complying with all FARs and company procedures, updating flight and duty records, and participating in safety and quality systems. Requirements: High school diploma or GED, ATP Multi Required, 2,500 hours Total Time, 500 hours Cross Country Time, 750 hours PIC Time, 500 hours Multi-Engine Land, 500 hours Turbine. Must pass oral/written exam per FAR 135.293(a), competency check per FAR 135.293(b), 6-month IFR proficiency check per FAR 135.297, and enroute check per FAR 135.299. Must live within two hours of base airport and make an 18-month commitment. Physical ability to lift 150+ lbs, climb on/off aircraft wing, and execute flights up to 4.5 hours/10 hours per day during 14-hour duty periods.

Compensation and Benefits

$130,000 per year (USD)
