Job description

Sun Country Airlines College Bridge Program First Officer (Minnesota State University) is a pipeline program for students enrolled in the designated major at Minnesota State University, Mankato that includes flight training to qualify for Restricted ATP (RATP) under FAR 61.160. Program Steps: 1. Enroll: Students must be enrolled in the designated major at Minnesota State University, Mankato including flight training to qualify for RATP under FAR 61.160. 2. Apply: Applicants must be at least a Junior or Senior, hold a Commercial Certificate with Instrument and Multi-Engine Rating, and attend one in-person recruiting event with a required one-on-one interview. 3. Flight Instructor Position: Applicants must secure a Flight Instructor position (CFI, CFII, or optionally MEI) with North Star Aviation. 4. Request Interview for First Officer Position: Must have completed 300 hours of Dual Flight Instruction in Aircraft with North Star Aviation, apply online, and email Sun Country Pilot Hiring. 5. Get Hired: Receive a Contingent Job Offer (CJO) based on a successful interview and graduate with the appropriate major including flight training to qualify for RATP under FAR 61.160. Minimum Qualifications to Start Class: - Legal authorization to work in the United States - Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English Language - Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate - FCC Radio License - Valid US passport or valid Passport with Green Card and the ability to travel to and from all cities and countries served by Sun Country - Valid US driver's license - Recent flight experience preferred Restricted ATP Eligible - 1000 Hours Minimum (Aviation College Background): - 1,000 total flight hours (100 hours can be simulator time) - 250 hours PIC in an airplane - At least 21 years old - 200 hours of cross country (100 hours of which must be PIC cross country in an airplane) - 100 hours of night (25 hours of which must be PIC night in an airplane) - 75 hours of instrument - 25 hours of multi-engine
