Job description

Special Missions King Air B350 Captain based in Prestwick, UK. The Special Missions division delivers specialist aviation services to the UK Government and industry customers, including a next-generation Search and Rescue (SAR) contract operating 24/7/365 out of Prestwick, Humberside, and Newquay. Captains will fly the King Air B350 with a First Officer multi-pilot on day and night shifts. Each crew will also have a Sensor Operator on board managing sensors and mission equipment. Duties include delivery of specialist surveillance tasks within the UK and neighbouring States, and life-saving SAR missions. Requirements: - Class 1 medical - UK CPL or ATPL with IR - 1,500+ total flying hours (including 750 PIC, 100 IR and 100 Night) - At least 100 hours on King Air Series aircraft (or equivalent, at discretion of Director of Flight Operations) Desirable: - Relevant experience in a similar setting (military, police, coastguard) - Proven experience in taking a lead pilot/managerial role in a forward operating base - A current King Air 350 type rating is highly desirable but not essential as training will be provided Applicants must already have, or have the ability to obtain, UK Security Clearance and hold a valid UK Driving Licence. Note: Successful applicants without a current King Air 350 type rating will need to spend up to 3 weeks away from home in the simulator for initial training. All costs related to training (est £20,000) will be subject to a bond for a 2-year period, repayable if employment is left. The bond value decreases by 25% every 6 months during that 2-year period.
