Job description
Singapore Airlines is recruiting Direct Entry Captains on fixed-term contracts. To apply, you will need to meet the following requirements: - Possess a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate that is recognised by, or can be validated by, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). - Hold a valid Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) with an Airbus A350 (A350) or Airbus A380 (A380) aircraft type rating that is recognised by, or can be validated by, CAAS. If you hold a foreign licence, you may check your eligibility using this document. - Minimum 7,000 flying hours, inclusive of 3,000 Pilot-In-Command (PIC) hours on commercial jets in international operations, and at least 1,500 PIC hours on either the A350 or A380. - Have a minimum of two years' flying experience as a Captain on either the A350 or A380, prior to the application date. - Able to speak and understand English with ICAO English Level 5 or above for inflight radio-telephony communications. - Minimum height requirement of 1.58m to ensure full reach and the safe operation of all flight deck controls Selection Process Applicants will undergo various stages of assessment, which may include (but not limited to) interviews, simulator assessment and medical examinations. Successful candidates will be placed on either the A350 or A380 fleet. Training Successful candidates will receive the relevant training. Tenure of Service Successful candidates will be offered a fixed-term contract of up to 12 months.
