Job description

PHI Health is seeking a First Officer (SIC) for Lear Jet 31A fixed-wing air ambulance operations based in Kansas City, MO. Operations are conducted under CAMTS guidelines as Airplane Air Ambulance (HAA), IFR Dual Pilot (instrument rating required), 24-hour day/night rotation on a 7&7 schedule. Requirements: - ATP Airplane, Multi-Engine Land certificate - FAA First Class Medical - CAMTS SIC requirements: ATP, 2,000 total airplane hours, 1,000 hours PIC, 500 hours PIC in Multi-Engine Turbine Airplanes, 100 hours night - Instrument Rating required - Must live within 1 hour commute from the Kansas City base - Must meet company weight restriction (235 lbs or less) - Must pass pre-placement physical, drug screening, and background check - COVID-19 vaccination and other specified vaccinations required - Preference given to pilots currently assigned to the Kansas City Children's Mercy Program - Strong communication and customer service skills - Interview and acceptance by customer/PHI management required If successful applicant requires aircraft transition: 1-year minimum service requirement. If relocation package is utilized: 2-year minimum service requirement. Housing will not be provided.

Additional requirements

  • Must live within one hour commute from the Kansas City base
  • Must meet and maintain the company flight personnel weight restriction of 235 lbs or less
  • Must pass a pre-placement physical exam including a functional capacity exam (lift 100 pounds), drug screening and background screen
  • Covid vaccination required
  • Required immunisations: tuberculosis screening, two Varivax vaccinations or positive varicella titer, two MMR vaccinations or positive titers, Tdap booster, hepatitis B series with positive surface antibody titer, annual flu vaccination
  • Interview and acceptance by customer/PHI management
  • One year minimum service requirement if aircraft transition is required; two year minimum service requirement if the relocation package is used
