Job description
Air Methods is seeking an EC135 IFR helicopter pilot based in Green Bay, WI (Eagle III program). The pilot is responsible for ensuring aircraft and weather conditions are airworthy to transport medical crew and patient to receiving hospital within an assigned operational area, and for compliance with FARs, AIM, GOM, and Air Methods policies. Responsibilities include: operating aircraft safely and legally; completing pre-flight checks; serving as final authority for aircraft operations and safety of passengers/cargo/equipment; familiarity with all aircraft and medical systems; completing required documentation; conducting detailed flight planning; and participating in meetings, activities, and community outreach. Requirements: - IFR Program requirements: - 2,500 total flight hours with minimum 2,000 flight hours in category (rotor wing) - 1,000 hours PIC in category - 500 hours rotor wing turbine time - 500 hours cross-country flight time (at least 50 hours at night) - 100 hours unaided night as PIC - 75 hours actual or simulated instrument time (at least 50 hours in flight in aircraft, including 20 hours actual instrument conditions in category) - Instrument rating (for category and class of aircraft; ATP rating in category meets this requirement) - First OR Second Class FAA Medical certificate required - Must have flown in category within the previous 24 months - Weight not to exceed 250 lbs; must be less than 70 years old - Associate's degree or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor's degree preferred - $15,000 Sign-On Bonus; $3,000 IFR Stipend; Experience Stipend up to $12,000; $15,000 Stipend
