Job description

Rotor Wing Pilot - LifeFlight OK based in Stillwater, OK. Aircraft: EC130 (VFR). $25,000 Stipend, Off-Duty Housing, and $15,000 Sign-on Bonus Available. Responsible for ensuring aircraft and weather conditions are airworthy to transport medical crew and patients to receiving hospitals within an assigned operational area. Responsible for compliance with FAR, AIM, GOM guidelines, and Air Methods policies and procedures. Essential Functions: Operate Air Methods aircraft safely and legally; complete pre-flight checks; serve as final authority for aircraft operations and safety of passengers/cargo/equipment; maintain familiarity with all aircraft and medical systems; complete required documentation; conduct detailed flight planning; participate in Air Methods meetings and community outreach. Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off (12-hour shifts). Qualifications: - Associate's degree or equivalent, plus 2–5 years related experience; Bachelor's preferred - Weight must not exceed 250 lbs; must be under 70 years of age - Must have flown in category for a commercial operator or military within the previous 24 months VFR Program – Minimum Required Flight Times: - 2,000 total flight hours with minimum 1,500 hours in category (rotor wing) - 1,000 hours PIC in category - 500 hours rotor wing turbine time - 200 hours cross-country flight time (at least 50 hours at night) - 100 hours unaided night as PIC - 50 hours total actual or hood instrument time in flight and in category Certificates/Licenses: Commercial & Instrument Rating (for category and class); ATP rating in category meets this requirement. First OR Second Class FAA Medical certificate required. Internal bidding ends: 11/20/2025.
