Job description

College Bridge Program First Officer (South Dakota State University) Sun Country Airlines operates 737NGs throughout the US (including Hawaii and Alaska), Caribbean, Mexico and Europe. The business model includes scheduled airline service, charters (military, sports and event-based), cargo and seasonal leisure travel. College Bridge Program Steps: Step 1: Enroll at South Dakota State University in the designated major that includes flight training to qualify for RATP under FAR 61.160. Step 2: Apply for a College Bridge Program First Officer position. Applicants must be at least a Junior or Senior, hold a Commercial Certificate with Instrument and Multi-Engine Rating, and attend one in-person recruiting event and complete a required initial one-on-one interview. Step 3: Secure a Flight Instructor position with SDSU (CFI, CFII; MEI optional). Step 4: Complete 300 hours of Dual Flight Instruction in Aircraft with SDSU, apply online, and request an interview for a First Officer position. Step 5: Receive a Contingent Job Offer (CJO) based on a successful interview and graduate with the appropriate major including flight training to qualify for RATP under FAR 61.160. Minimum Qualifications to Start Class: - Legal authorization to work in the United States - Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English Language - Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate - FCC Radio License - Valid US passport or valid Passport with Green Card and ability to travel to/from all cities and countries served by Sun Country - Valid US driver's license - Recent flight experience preferred Restricted ATP Eligible - 1,000 Hours Minimum (Aviation College Background): - 1,000 total hours (100 hours can be simulator time) - 250 hours PIC in an airplane - At least 21 years old - 200 hours cross country (100 hours of which must be PIC cross country in an airplane) - 100 hours night (25 hours of which must be PIC night in an airplane) - 75 hours instrument - 25 hours multi-engine
