Commanders ATR 72-600 Braathens is a Scandinavian airline with a heritage dating back to 1946. Today, we operate regional flights on behalf of SAS with a single-fleet operation of ATR 72-600 aircraft. Our long-term partnership with SAS provides stability and predictability throughout our operation. We are a close-knit organization with short decision-making processes and a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and people. The ATR 72-600 is a modern turboprop aircraft ideally suited for regional operations, offering low fuel consumption and excellent operational flexibility. Our combination of regional flying and ACMI operations provides a sustainable long-term business model, both commercially and operationally. Operating a single aircraft type creates a streamlined and structured environment with consistent procedures, a stable type-rating environment, and predictable day-to-day operations. Flights are primarily conducted throughout Scandinavia as part of our production for SAS. The course is scheduled to start in January 2027. Employment Terms & Collective Agreement As a pilot at Braathens, you will be employed under a collective bargaining agreement tailored to our ACMI operation, emphasizing stability, transparency, and long-term employment. -Permanent employment -Fixed monthly salary with a clearly defined progression -Occupational pension, insurance, and Loss of Licence (LoL) coverage -Travel benefits, including ID tickets Bases – Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) & Copenhagen (CPH) We are recruiting for both our Stockholm Arlanda and Copenhagen bases. The Commander Role As a Commander you will operate the ATR 72-600 on regional services for SAS, taking overall responsibility for the safe and efficient conduct of each flight. You will lead the flight deck team and work closely with the cabin crew to ensure the highest standards of safety, operational excellence, and customer service. We are looking for experienced captains who demonstrate strong leadership, sound decision-making, and excellent communication skills. You thrive in a professional environment where safety, accountability, flexibility, and teamwork are fundamental to everyday operations.
