Job description

Temporary Fixed Wing Pilot position for EMS Air Ambulance operations using PC12 (IFR) aircraft, based in Farmington, NM. Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off (12-hour shifts). Responsibilities: - Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner - Complete pre-flight checks and sign off Daily Flight Log - Final authority for aircraft operations and safety of passengers, cargo and equipment - Ensure familiarity with all aircraft and medical systems of backup aircraft - Complete required documentation - Conduct detailed flight planning with little notice - Participate in Air Methods meetings, activities, projects, committees and community outreach Requirements: - Must have flown in category for a commercial operator or in the military within the previous 24 months - Weight not to exceed 250 pounds; must be less than 70 years old - Fixed Wing IFR Program – Required Flight Times: - 2,500 total flight hours with a minimum of 2,000 hours in category - 1,000 hours PIC in category - 500 hours of cross-country flight time - 500 hours Fixed Wing Turbine time - 100 hours of night flight time - 100 hours of flight in actual instrument conditions in category - Commercial & Instrument Rating (for category and class of aircraft); ATP rating in category meets this requirement - First OR Second Class FAA Medical certificate required - Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two to five years' related experience; Bachelor's degree preferred - Subject to DOT/FAA drug and/or alcohol testing
