FY2026 JTA Boeing 737 Captain Candidate — Recruitment of Flight Crew 1 July 2026 / Release No. 26017 Japan Transocean Air Co., Ltd. (JTA; head office: Naha City; President: Yuko Horio) is recruiting flight crew who will become captain candidates on the Boeing 737, as set out below. [Position] Flight crew (captain candidate) [Eligibility] Applicants must satisfy all of conditions 1 to 3 below. 1. Hold a Boeing 737 type rating and have experience flying as a captain of a jet aircraft at a Japanese scheduled airline (1,500 hours or more of PIC flight time). 2. Hold qualifications A to C below (all must be Japanese licences): - A: JCAB Airline Transport Pilot Licence (skill certificate) - B: Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate (valid at the time of application) - C: Aeronautical Radio Operator licence * In addition to the above, an Aviation English Proficiency Certificate of Level 4 or higher is preferable (this is not a mandatory condition). 3. Be able to reside within 60 minutes' commuting distance of Naha Airport by public transport while under training as a contract employee (from ground school through the completion of line training). * Those who have previously flown for our company are also eligible to apply. [Selection process] - First stage: screening via the application form - Second stage: Tuesday 10 November — flight aptitude test (FFS) / Wednesday 11 November — individual interview (venue: Naha City) - Final stage: Monday 30 November — individual interview and medical examination (equivalent to an aviation medical examination) (venue: Naha City) * Selection will in principle be conducted in Naha City; however, for the medical examination the examination date and venue (which may be outside Naha) will be advised separately. * Travel and accommodation costs for attending the selection are borne by the applicant (except for the final stage). * During the selection process we may ask you to confirm matters relating to your past aviation medical certificates (for example, by submitting additional data).
