Topflight Elite Training & Charter Services, formerly known as Canadian Helicopters School of Advanced Flight Training, is seeking a Pilot Instructor to conduct advanced mountain flying training, aircraft type and emergency training, vertical reference / Bambi Bucket training, basic and advanced NVG training, and night flight qualification. Located in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. Responsibilities include: - Providing high-quality flight training to military and civilian students, ensuring safety, competence and compliance with Transport Canada and FAA regulations. - Organizing ground and flight training sessions for students of various experience levels. - Creating and executing customized lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and progress. - Monitoring and evaluating student performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement. - Ensuring proper aircraft maintenance by performing pre- and post-flight inspections and reporting any issues. - Maintaining accurate and complete student records, including flight logs and performance evaluations. - Staying informed of industry best practices, aviation standards and regulatory changes. - Fostering a professional and supportive learning environment that promotes safety and confidence. - Organizing check rides, practical exams and helping students prepare for certification or course completion. - Coordinating with flight school staff to effectively schedule courses, aircraft and other resources. Qualifications: - 3,000+ hours with solid operational experience - Minimum 1,000 hours mountain experience - Type ratings on Bell 407, AS350/H125, EC120 - Sling load competency - Teaching experience in classroom and helicopter (asset) - Team-oriented work environment - Self-starter / takes initiative - Office skills: Word/Excel/PDF/PowerPoint - Able to work at night (NVG training or contract) - Speaks English and Spanish
