Captain - AS350 (NTR)

Job description

Native Air (Air Methods) is seeking a Helicopter Pilot for an AS350 (VFR) program based in Cottonwood, AZ. The pilot is responsible for ensuring aircraft and weather conditions are airworthy to transport medical crew and patients to receiving hospitals within an assigned operational area. Must comply with FAR, AIM, General Operations Manual guidelines, and Air Methods policies. Responsibilities: - Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner - Complete pre-flight checks and sign off Daily Flight Log - Final authority regarding aircraft operations and safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment - Familiar with all aircraft and medical systems, including backup aircraft - Complete required documentation - Conduct detailed flight planning with little notice - Participate in Air Methods meetings, activities, projects, committees, and community outreach - Regular scheduled attendance (7/7 schedule - 12 hour shifts) Qualifications: - Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred - Must be less than 70 years old and weight not to exceed 250 lbs - Must have flown in category within the previous 24 months VFR Program Requirements: - 2,000 total flight hours with a minimum of 1,500 flight hours in category (helicopter) - 1,000 hours PIC in category - 500 hours of rotor wing turbine - 200 hours of cross-country flight time, at least 50 hours at night - 100 hours unaided night as PIC (50 hours unaided can be substituted by 100 hours NVG time, but cannot be reduced below 50 hours unaided) - 50 hours total actual or hood instrument time in flight and in category Certificates/Licenses: - Instrument rating (for category and class of aircraft; ATP rating in category meets this requirement) - Commercial single-engine land required for single-engine aircraft - Fixed wing multiengine rating required for twin-engine aircraft - First OR Second Class FAA Medical certificate required

Compensation and Benefits

$82,900 – $93,251 per year (USD)
