Job description
Helicopter Pilot based in Effingham, IL. Operating Bell 407 under VFR program. Responsible for ensuring aircraft and weather conditions are airworthy to transport medical crew and patient to receiving hospital within an assigned operational area. Compliance with FAR, AIM, GOM guidelines and Air Methods policies required. Schedule: 7/7, 12-hour shifts. Requirements: - 2,000 total flight hours with a minimum of 1,500 flight hours in category (rotor wing) - 1,000 hours PIC in category - 500 hours rotor wing turbine - 200 hours cross-country flight time (at least 50 hours at night) - 100 hours unaided night PIC (50 hours unaided can be substituted by 100 hours NVG time, but cannot be reduced below 50 hours unaided) - 50 hours total actual or hood instrument time in flight and in category - Commercial single-engine land rating required for single-engine aircraft - Instrument rating (for category and class of aircraft) required; ATP rating in category meets this requirement - First OR Second Class FAA Medical certificate required - Must have flown in category within the previous 24 months - Weight not to exceed 250 lbs; must be less than 70 years old - Associate's degree or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred

Compensation and Benefits
$82,900 – $93,251 per year (USD)
