Job description

SkillBridge Fixed-Wing PIC Pilot Military Fellowship (Multiple Locations). This is a DOD SkillBridge program opportunity for active-duty U.S. Military Service Members during the final six months of their active-duty obligated service, lasting up to 180 days. During the program, members retain military pay and benefits and are not compensated by GMR. Participants gain civilian work experience in the medical response/EMS industry through training, internships, and on-the-job experience. Successful completion may lead to consideration for open positions. Operations involve compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Guardian Flight EMS Operations Manual, and all state and municipal regulations. Operates aircraft safely with emphasis on compliance with the Fixed Wing Flight Manual. Monitors weather, conducts preflight inspections, and reports for duty rested and prepared. Three aircraft qualification tracks are available: PC-12, King Air C90/B200, and Learjet 45. Minimum requirements for the most accessible track (PC-12 or King Air): 2,500 total flight hours, 2,000 fixed wing hours, 1,000 PIC hours, 500 cross country hours, 75 instrument hours (50 actual), 100 night hours. Commercial Airplane certificate required; must be willing to obtain ATP within 5 years. Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate required. Must be active-duty U.S. Military to qualify. Must have valid driver's license and high school diploma or better.

• Must obtain signed approval from unit commander (O-4 or above)
• Must be willing and able to obtain ATP within 5 years of employment
• High school diploma or better required
• Valid and unexpired driver's license required
• Bases: Salt Lake City UT, Alaska, Hawaii, South Dakota, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada or Arizona

Compensation and Benefits

• 24-hour base housing provided at most locations during SkillBridge program
• 7/7 schedule at most locations during SkillBridge program
• If hired after completion: Starting base salary $91,167.60 to $100,284.36 or higher depending on experience and airframe
• If hired after completion: 0% to 70% geographic modifier for assigned base depending on location
• If hired after completion: $15,000 sign-on bonus
• If hired after completion: $40,000 retention bonus after 3 years
