Job description
Beond is the world's first premium leisure airline, flying an all-lie-flat Airbus fleet, and is standing up new Air Operator Certificates in Bahrain (BCAA) and Saudi Arabia (GACA). We are seeking a Chief Pilot for our Saudi Arabia AOC (General Authority of Civil Aviation), based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Chief Pilot is appointed by, and reports to, the Director of Operations, and is responsible for: - Own flight-crew professional standards, SOPs and crew standardisation. - Oversee line operations, the check-airman programme and crew currency and competence. - Manage flight-crew discipline, mentoring and continuous improvement of operating practices. - Support the Director of Operations and deputise on operational matters as required. - Interface with GACA on flight-crew standards. This is a required management position under GACAR Part 121.45. The post is full-time and the successful candidate must be acceptable to GACA (the President) based on experience, competence and knowledge, with a full understanding of the GACAR, the operations specifications, applicable airworthiness requirements and the operations manual (GACAR 121.45(e), (g)). Mandatory Requirements: - Hold an ATP certificate with appropriate ratings for at least one aircraft type used in the operation (GACAR 121.49(b)). - At least 3 years' experience within the past 6 years as PIC of a Part 121 aircraft — for a first-time Chief Pilot (GACAR 121.49(b)(1)). - Full understanding of the GACAR, the operations specifications, applicable airworthiness requirements and the operations manual; must be acceptable to GACA. Desirable: - Airbus A320/A321 family experience. - Strong SOP-development and crew-standardisation track record. - Fluent English; Arabic advantageous.
