Job description

Clay Lacy Aviation is seeking a Lead Captain for the Gulfstream G550 based at KSNA (Santa Ana, CA). This is a full-time position operating under FAR Part 91 (approximately 150–200 hours annually). As a Lead Captain, in addition to acting as a flight crew member, you are responsible for ensuring effective communication between the account and Clay Lacy Aviation, including the Account Manager (ACM), DOM, Director of Training, Assistant Chief Pilot (ACP), and Trip Support Specialists. Duties include: acting as PIC or SIC as designated; ensuring crew compliance with regulations, directives, and SOPs; coordinating training events; reviewing expense reports and invoices; managing crew member schedules; conducting monthly currency reviews and annual aircraft audits; coordinating with maintenance; and facilitating good working relationships within the flight department. Requirements: - ATP certificate required - G550 Type Rating required (candidates must be type rated) - First Class Medical required - Must reside within a 2-hour drivable commuting distance to KSNA - Applicable FAA Part 91 and/or FAA Part 135 requirements for aircraft type - Unexpired and valid Driver's License - Unexpired and valid passport - Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks
