Job description

Yute Commuter Service is seeking professional, safety-focused pilots to join their Part 135 team serving the communities of Western Alaska. Operating scheduled and charter flights throughout the Yukon-Kuskokwim (Y-K) Delta. Pilots operate Cessna 172, 207, 208 Caravan, and Piper Navajo aircraft. Duties include safely conducting Part 135 scheduled and charter flight operations in accordance with FAA regulations, performing pre-flight/in-flight/post-flight inspections, evaluating weather and aircraft performance, maintaining flight records, providing professional customer service, and exercising sound aeronautical decision-making. The company also offers a C208 Caravan SIC Professional Development Program where pilots fly as Second-in-Command alongside experienced Captains with a structured pathway toward Captain qualification. PIC minimum requirements: FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating, current FAA Second Class Medical (First Class preferred), valid U.S. work authorization (no visa sponsorship). VFR Operations: minimum 500 hours total flight time. IFR Operations: minimum 1,500 hours total flight time with demonstrated IFR proficiency. Preferred: 2,000 hours total for C208 Caravan with 250 hours turbine, or ATP Certificate with 1,500 hours total and 100 hours multi-engine for Piper Navajo. SIC Program: FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate (Single Engine Land), current FAA Second Class Medical. Schedule is 15 days on / 15 days off rotation.
