Second Officer - B787/B777/A320/A321 (NTR)

Job description

Air New Zealand is seeking expressions of interest from external pilots wanting to join the jet fleet. Entry is as a Second Officer on B787 or B777 aircraft, or First Officer on A320/A321 aircraft. Eligibility Criteria (must meet one of the following): - At least 12 months multi-crew, multi-turbine engine Part 121 or Part 125 (or equivalent) turboprop command experience on aircraft with MCTOW of 7,765 kg or greater (equivalent to Beech 1900D), operated under IFR; OR - At least 12 months Part 121 or Part 125 (or equivalent) jet first officer experience; OR - Part 121 or Part 125 (or equivalent) jet captain experience; OR - At least 12 months multi-crew, multi-turbine engine fixed wing command experience with the RNZAF or other air force on aircraft at least equivalent in weight category to Part 121 or Part 125 turboprop aircraft. Minimum Requirements: - NZCAA ATPL or CPL with current passes in all ATPL subjects - Multi-Engine Instrument Rating - NZCAA Class 1 Medical - 1,500 hours total time, including 100 hours multi-engine aeroplane, 100 hours ATO, 40 hours instrument flight time, 25 hours night - NZCAA BTK/BGT - ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 6 or greater - New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, Australian citizens, or Australian permanent residents only; valid passport and necessary visas required. Note: NZCAA licences required prior to employment. Candidates undergoing overseas licence conversion may be offered an interview. External candidates who operated as a turboprop pilot with Air New Zealand, Mount Cook Airline, Air Nelson or Eagle Airways within the last 8 years are not eligible. • Only New Zealand citizens, permanent residents/residents, Australian citizens, or Australian permanent residents considered
• Ability to travel overseas required, including a valid passport and necessary visas
• NZCAA BTK/BGT required
• Must meet one of: 12 months multi-crew multi-turbine Part 121/125 (or equivalent) turboprop command experience on IFR aircraft with MCTOW 7,765 kg or greater; 12 months Part 121/125 (or equivalent) jet first officer experience; Part 121/125 (or equivalent) jet captain experience; or 12 months multi-crew multi-turbine fixed wing command experience with the RNZAF or other air force on aircraft of equivalent weight category
