Job description

PHI Health is seeking VFR Travel Pilots for air medical operations based in Mt. Pleasant, TX. The role involves life-saving air ambulance missions operating under CAMTS guidelines, flying the BH407 in VFR/NVG configuration with 24-hour day/night rotation operations. Pilots perform line pilot duties IAW GOM, participate in community outreach programs, support Safety Management System and Destination Zero campaigns, and assist in loading/unloading patients and equipment. Requirements include Commercial and Instrument Helicopter Ratings, First Class Medical, CAMTS minimums of 2,000 total hours, 1,500 helicopter hours, 1,000 PIC helicopter hours, 500 turbine helicopter hours, and 100 hours unaided night operations (or 50 hours unaided + 100 hours NVG). Must meet weight restriction of 235 lbs or less, pass pre-placement physical exam including functional capacity exam, drug screening and background check. Strong communication and customer service skills required. Interview and acceptance by customer/PHI management required.

  • If successful applicant requires aircraft transition, 1 year minimum service requirement per CBA
  • If relocation package is utilized, 2 year minimum service requirement per CBA
