Job description
Life Flight Network is a not-for-profit air ambulance organization seeking a Rotor Wing Pilot (IFR) based in Port Angeles, WA. The Rotor Wing Pilot is responsible for professionally and safely operating aircraft for LFN to facilitate care of critically ill and/or injured patients. The pilot will possess strong aviation skills, a keen sense of safety, superior customer service skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people, sometimes in highly stressful situations. Will be required to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. QUALIFICATIONS: - High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred - 5 years' experience as a professional pilot preferred - 2,000 hours Total Time required - 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command - 1,000 hours R/W Turbine time required - 75 instrument hours total – with at least 50 hours in aircraft instrument time required (100 hours instrument time preferred) - 100 hours of nighttime required - Must hold a FAA Commercial Helicopter Certificate with Instrument Helicopter Rating - Must have and maintain a FAA second class flight physical - Pilots with air medical transportation experience preferred - Pilots with NVG experience preferred - Mountain experience preferred (evaluated on a case-by-case basis) - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Must hold a valid driver's license and meet LFN's Driver's Policy requirements - Travel by personal or company vehicle throughout LFN's service area is required
