Job description
Emirates is recruiting pilots for multiple roles based in Dubai, UAE. Available positions include Direct Entry Captain (from 7,000 hours), Accelerated Command (from 5,000 hours), First Officer (from 2,000 hours), and National Cadet Pilot Programme (from 0 hours). The airline operates a modern wide-body fleet comprising Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft across 150+ destinations worldwide. Requirements for captain upgrade (internal criteria): - Minimum 6,000 hours total time - Minimum 2,000 hours actual time in an operating seat (stick time) on the Emirates aircraft type - Minimum of 6 EBT modules successfully completed on any Emirates fleet - Minimum age 30 to commence the command course - Note: Total Time is defined as flying as P1 and/or P2, excluding single and multi-engine piston Selection process: Stage 1 (remote): HireVue video interview, psychometric testing, abstract reasoning testing, live digital panel interview. Stage 2 (Dubai, 2 days): Simulator assessments, Advanced Compass, Emirates medical assessment. Certified logbook records required. Training bond of USD 42,000 applies for first officers and captains for 42 months. Contract is permanent and open-ended. Probation period is six months.
Additional requirements
- All pilots are based in Dubai; commuting is not offered
- Current Boeing or Airbus fly-by-wire experience
- Certified logbook records must be provided at the assessment stage
- Training bond of USD 42,000 for 42 months applies to first officers and captains on the passenger fleet
- Emirates does not pay off a training bond owed to a previous airline
- HIV, hepatitis B and TB tests required for the UAE residence visa
