Fly Jinnah is recruiting a First Officer based in Karachi, Pakistan. Job Purpose: To monitor the progress of assigned flights in accordance with the detailed provisions of the Airline's Operational Manual and in compliance with the respective civil aviation authority related regulations. Assists the Captain in achieving ultimate safety, security and efficiency throughout the flight; records and documents all necessary data; supports the flight/cabin crew, and effectively applies emergency procedures when instructed; takes control over the flight from the captain when instructed or required as per the adopted procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Perform as 'Pilot Flying' or 'Pilot Monitoring', assist the Captain in managing flight deck work - Fly assigned aircraft from one destination to another when required or instructed by the Captain - Conduct flights in accordance with the Airline's Operations Manual and regulations - Coordinate with Captain and Dispatch Team prior to each flight - Carry out necessary checks, records, and documentation tasks - Use adopted systems and forms to record data (log book, CFP, etc.) - Check fuel type and supervise fuelling at stations without qualified personnel - Alert the Captain with any irregularities or unfavourable variables affecting safety - Undertake additional ground-based tasks such as Safety Officer or Security Officer - Keep up to date with legal requirements of regulatory bodies - Check prescribed manuals, charts, maps, and forms - Assist the Captain in completing necessary records and reports Qualifications: - Appropriate ATPL License, or CPL License with Frozen ATPL (mandatory) - Must pass technical/psychometric assessment for Second Officer (Co-Pilots) - Must pass Medical Fitness check-up for Second Officers (Co-Pilots) - Training in safety and emergency response is essential - Proficient in aircraft systems, Microsoft Office, Internet and Web Search - Very good written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic and French are an advantage) Work Experience: - Minimum 1,500 hours of flying; Airbus 320 preferred - Experience with low-cost airline is highly desirable - Knowledge in aircraft systems and operating procedures - Exposure to QA/Safety/Security/Audit procedures related to Flight Operations
