Job description
Direct Entry Special Operations Captain. DEA Aviation offers custom airborne solutions using specialised hardware, equipment, and personnel. Operating a fleet of DA42, DA62 and Beech King Air aircraft, pilots are required to work autonomously throughout the UK, Europe and beyond, often deployed in small teams for extended periods. The role involves acting as single-pilot commander on DEA's DA42/62 aircraft fleet, delivering operations on a mixture of weekdays and weekends including day/night flying rostered 365 days/year. Requirements: Valid UK CAA CPL/ATPL or EASA CPL/ATPL; hold or within last 3 years have held a multi engine instrument rating single pilot MEIR(SP); 480 hrs total flying time; 250 hrs PIC (not including PICUS or simulator time, co-pilot hours may count at 0.5 factor); 50 hrs IFR flying time; current Class 1 medical; ICAO Level 5 English proficiency or higher; able to live and work in the UK and/or EU; willing to work away from home for extended periods (up to 3-5 weeks); must not have been invited to DEA assessment in last 6 months; ability to obtain Basic Disclosure certificate via DBS. Desirable: security clearance (EU Confidential or NATO Secret); single country residence in past 5 years; dual UK/EU passport; dual UK CAA/EASA licence; previous DA42/62 or King Air experience; foreign language ability.

- Able to obtain a Basic Disclosure certificate via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) or equivalent with respect to any unspent criminal convictions
- UK CAA or EASA licence accepted
