Job description
The Challenger 300 Lead Pilot position is based out of Crescent City, CA. This position requires a strong ability to multi-task, make high level complex decisions, all while completing a variety of aviation related tasks. The Lead Pilot will lead a team of 4 crew and support Advanced Air's management of the aircraft, operating the aircraft as Pilot in Command (PIC) and reporting to the Chief Pilot and Director of Operations. Schedule is 8 days on and 6 days off. Must live within 7 hours of the base airport (KCEC). Requirements: - High school diploma or GED - Airline Transport Pilot certificate - Challenger 300 PIC Type Rating - 3,000 hours total time - 1,000 hours PIC Turbine - CFI, CFII, MEI Certificates preferred but not required - High-level working knowledge of FAR Part 91, 61 and AIM Part Section 4 and 5 - Ability to work in confined spaces and manipulate, push, pull, and lift heavy objects in excess of 150 lbs - Ability to execute flights of up to 4.5 hours up to a total flight time of 10 hours per day during a 14-hour duty period - Must pass preemployment DOT Drug test and be subject to random Drug Screening - Part 135 pilot qualification on the assigned aircraft Duties include serving as Lead Pilot, managing crew schedules, ensuring aircraft readiness, maintaining inventory of galley items and supplies, overseeing aircraft expenses, leading production of SOPs and checklists, compliance with all Federal Aviation regulations and company procedures, and participating in safety management systems.
