Job description

Helicopter Pilot for Flight for Life Colorado program operating AS350 (VFR) based in Pueblo, CO. Responsible for ensuring aircraft and weather conditions are airworthy to transport medical crew and patients to receiving hospitals within an assigned operational area. Responsible for compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), General Operations Manual guidelines (GOM), and Air Methods policies and procedures. Operates aircraft in a safe and legal manner, completes pre-flight checks, performs walk arounds, conducts detailed flight planning with little notice. Regular scheduled attendance on a 7/7 schedule with 12-hour shifts. VFR Program requirements: 2000 total flight hours with minimum 1500 in category, 1000 hours PIC in category, 500 hours rotor wing turbine, 200 hours cross-country (at least 50 at night), 100 hours unaided night as PIC, 50 hours actual or hood instrument time in flight and in category. Flight for Life Colorado minimums: 3,000 hours flight experience, over 250 hours high altitude/mountain flight experience. Must maintain weight not exceeding 250 pounds and be less than 70 years old. Must have flown in category within previous 24 months. Associate's degree or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred. Instrument rating required. Commercial single-engine land required for single-engine aircraft. First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate required.

Compensation and Benefits
